Sewer Scope Inspection
A standard inspection can't see inside your buried sewer line — the one running from your house to the street that's yours to repair. We send a camera down it and show you exactly what's there.

We Know What to Look For
Six things hiding in a line you can't see
Your sewer line is buried, out of sight, and expensive to replace — and the older the home, the more likely it's hiding one of these. Our camera finds them before they find you.
Sewer Backups
Evidence of waste water backing up toward the home from a failing or obstructed line.
Blockages
Grease, debris, and buildup choking the flow and setting you up for a backup.
Cracks
Fractures in the pipe wall that let soil, water, and roots work their way in.
Breaks
Collapsed or separated sections that stop flow entirely — the most expensive find.
Root Intrusion
Tree roots that have grown into joints and cracks — the number-one culprit in older lines.
Improper Slope
Sags and “bellies” where the line lost its grade and waste now pools instead of draining.
If the line has a problem, we show it to you — on video — so you know exactly what you're dealing with. This is the one repair you do not want to discover after closing.
A standard home inspection stops at the walls. The sewer line running from the house to the street is yours to repair — and it's the one major system nobody can judge without a camera.
What's Included
Exactly what we scope — and why it's on you
A sewer scope is a focused camera inspection of one specific line: the part you own, and the part no one can see without going inside it.

Common Questions
Sewer Scope FAQ
What exactly do you scope?
The outside sewer lateral — the line that runs from your home to the connection at the street or city main. We feed a camera through an accessible cleanout and record the full length.
Is this the same as my home inspection?
No. A standard home inspection can't see inside the buried sewer line. This is a separate camera inspection, and it's usually added on to your home inspection.
Do you inspect septic systems?
No. This service covers the sewer line running to the public main. Septic tanks and drain fields are a different inspection.
What do you look for?
Backups, blockages, cracks, breaks, root intrusion, and improper slope (bellies) — the conditions that lead to expensive repairs.
Do I get video, or just a report?
Both. You receive a written report plus a link to the recorded video of the camera run, so you can see the line for yourself.
How fast is the report?
Within 24 hours of the inspection, including the video link.
